Hello there!

Welcome to the new home of Compwnd Afallon (that's Welsh for Compound Avalon)! After dumping Faebook, it occurred to me that I should have some sort of web presence. Thanks to Wix, here I am!

In 2009, I took my first pilgrimage to sacred sites in Wales. It took another few years for the idea of Compwnd Afallon to come along. What if I could start a retreat centre in North Wales? And what if that retreat centre could also be a retirement community for members of the Sisterhood of Avalon? What if we made it an intentional community, bringing in artisans, farmers, and businesses from the surrounding area?

I took the first steps in 2019 when I bought a townhouse in Bala, Gwynedd. Once getting set up in Bala, my plan is to find a rural property nearby, renovate it, and officially open Compwnd Afallon!
